Aye, ours have the epaulette tabs on them as well, blinking nuisance they are as well!! Mine are continually catching on every possible sticky out bit, suddenly snatching you round with no warning! Yet to decide which of equipment damage or personal injury are going to come first! (Knowing my luck, both at the same time :P )

And, I never wear epaulettes either, though that might be to do with a slight lack of them onboard, would be fine if I was a 3/0, just not a 3/E

BTW - to the OP - Scandia are based in Denmark, I know your post asked for UK places, however they will deliver to UK, many guys have done this in my company.

    Cheers,

    Phil

I have boiler suits that can take both Name/ rank bade and eppaulette(sp)

needles to say I dont use or wear either ever, it's great, looking boyishly young means people always assume the 2e is the chief, they dont half look confused when he sends them to see me

If you are after custom velcro patches theres a company called 'stitch me up' on Facebook. I've used her lots of times and highly recommended.

Scandia will do them, theoretically my company uses both a name tag and a rank tag, not that I have bothered wearing mine yet!!

I will leave it to the Army/ Royal Marines to adorn themselves with velco they do see to like it so much, I occasionally wonder if the uniforms were designed by someone more suited to making clothes for strippers. that said they are always ready with a cable tie when you need one

We have these onboard, I think they're just ordered from Skandia along with the boiler suits and other things like that

My company has velcro strips to attach these. I have never seen anyone with rank marks on them. Most people take a marker and write their name on a blank one.

My old lot had them. Believe they were company issue. If you're that desperate I would try some of the airsoft or paintball gear suppliers. I've seen a couple of friends with name tags made up the same way. Or I suppose you could go old school and break out the sharpies?

Company Issue, not everyone carries a tailor on the ship Alistair...in fact you would be suprised the number of ships that are sans tailor

Time you got out in the real word for a trip or 2 ;p

Tailors make them onboard? If not just ask any tailor they'll make them for you - Miller Rayner might do them (on request) since a few companies have it as part of their uniform.
