  • Supplements and amendments

    Hi all,

Got a question regarding amendments to the LSA code, MARPOL, IMDG etc..

I've joined a brand new vessel and we have received down to the ship, a heap of supplements for the various codes above. My back to back has out them into plastic wallets.

What I'm wondering is, do you guys cut and paste in these amendments as though you would for paper publications, or do you write a note in the book to refer to them, or do you just leave them in the pockets?

Any help would be hugely appreciated, I don't want to start sticking bits into the different books if it's not common practice.

    Cheers,

    Jeffrey

It is normally practice to keep them as a separate publication but reference them in the actual code as a change (otherwise no one will look). They should be kept in the same place.

I find that as the publication type font is so small with equally minimal line spacing trying to cut and paste or correct by hand proves difficult and normally ends up looking a right mess.

Thank you for the reply. That is what I will do. I did think that cutting and pasting might end up leading to a bit of a mess.

      Thanks again
