    Sea time to renew OOW COC

    Hi, I qualified with my COC OOW Unlimited late 2011.
    I have 8.5 months seatime, mainly as a 3rd officer.
    If i were to leave the profession but still wanted to keep my COC and renew it when the date came (in 2016). Would this be possible, or how much seatime would i need ?

    See MGN 9.

    12 months sea service within the preceding 5 years.

      Isn't their an exemption for certain jobs like surveyors and lecturers etc

        MGN 9 includes a list of occupations that are acceptable in lieu of sea service.
