What course to take for mates if you have FD/PD?

Once someone has sailed for 12 months as OOW, what is the course that we take at college?

Having done the FD/PD in marine ops and only having to do the oral exam I guess it would be a shorter college course, or do we have to do any college courses at all?

Does anyone know how much the FD/PD Mates course costs and when approximately colleges will be running it next year? Info on the Glasgow college would be nice, I've tried contacting them but had no reply.

For those of you that are interested, I've found some information about it at the following colleges. It seems that it is actually 18 months as OOW needed. It costs ?2645 at south Tyneside.
