It was. I spent time as a cadet on board the Eclipse, but was told that they already had someone by the time I applied. I do know they had ten's of applicants...

Guess maybe some of their deck hands etc have OOW tickets and have been working as deck crew to get their foot in the door? Or maybe cadets that have done some of their time on there.

That is indeed if that advert was the job that was available there.

Oh yeah, I take it it was the 4th Officer one thats still showing on Viking? No shortage of applicants, I'm sure!

Yup, it was. It was on both Clyde and Viking.

I take it this was an officer position up for grabs on Eclipse? Where abouts was it advertised? Just curious as to where is best to look for jobs on big yachts like this cos I don't think I saw this one on any of the usual job sites (although maybe I missed it).

It's a good ship, and when I was on board the crew was very good. I had a good time, and you can imagine my surprise when a job potentially came up on board. If you have any further questions PM me and I'll help in any way I can.
