    Hey guys,

I was hoping that someone would be willing to help on the CV front. I have looked for a thread on here regarding CV's but i cannot seem to find one. I am a phase 5 engine cadet around 6 weeks away from my oral exam and i'm now ready to start sending my CV about to get my foot in the door.

Whilst I appreciate you get knocked back a lot until you have your CoC i'm sure it can do only but good to get your name about.

Obviously as a cadet, having around 7 months sea time spread across two vessels, there's not a lot, experience wise, I can put on my CV so i'm sure you need to sell yourself in other areas.

So basically what i'm asking is, the do's and don'ts ?

    Thanks

May I direct your attention to this wonderful article by our patron saint of CVs, Hatchorder. http://www.officercadet.com/content....o-writing-a-CV

There's examples of "newbie" officer CVs, some do's and dont's and a considerable amount of advice. Good luck!
Pointy bit is the front, blunt bit is the back... Simples!

    Will work for money/sea time.
