Useful books for deck cadets

Hi guys,

I'm on my phase 2 and wondering if anyone can recommend any books you found useful during your cadetship?

I've got rules of road, and chart 5011,
But anyone else find anything useful and a must have?

Hello.
I found the Kemp and Young series of books very good when I was a cadet (long time ago!). Also Navigation for Masters by D J House is an excellent book that will last you through every ticket. Most books are quite expensive though, so maybe hang fire until you feel you need extra guidance in a particular area then shop around :0)
