I am from Belfast in Ireland, but I live in Lanzarote, so not so far from you.

Have you contacted Naviera Armas and Fred Olsen, I believe that Acciona Transmed also employ Spanish officers.

          Good luck.

Woooow you are very close from me xD. Yes I?ve sent my CV to Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas, and also to many other shipping companies, but not only spanish. I want sail out of here, not between Canary Island. I would like to see other countries and seas. I want try luck on tankers. And you? Are you navigating right now?

'Navegar' translates better to sailing in that context. The English verb to navigate describes the act of planning and following a set course.

yes, I am still sailing, although I don't return to see for anothet two weeks.

Also try Pullmantour since they only employ Spanish speaking officers and also offer an apprentice scheme for newly qualified people.

I don't post my employers name publicly.

Thanks Alistairuk, I will try with them so. And Clanky I?m sorry if I asked a thing inadequate or innappropiate. It was only for curiosity and also to know others shipping companies and their conditions. But if you want to say where are you working now, but not publicly, you can send me an MP. And I am sorry again.

Which MP would you like? Nigel Farage always seems like he'd be entertaining on a night out.

Yes it was, quite a harsh one I think, but hey ho....

Mesaje Privado translates to private message, so where you said MP, in English it would be PM... Don't ask me why, just is that way I think!

An MP here is a someone in the government!

Not to worry though, I'd bet your English is still a lot better than some of our Spanish!

It was rather, I replied before reading the whole thread and only had the message above on my screen. I didn't realise the OP's command of English was limited before posting. Apologies.
