    Evening sailors and sailorettes!
    Hope everybodys weekend has kicked off nicely. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if my age would work against me with regards to an application? I've just recently turned 22 and I know that with some apprenticeships age can sometimes be a bit of a problem.
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Won't be an issue. Plenty cadets in my intake (including myself) who started about that age.

      18-24 seems to be the normal age to join, but people join from 16-45 for a cadetship.

        Now that MLC is coming they won't be starting at 16 for much longer as quite a number of Flags are saying 18 is the minimum age to work on board!
        I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

          Hong Kong and Singapore Flags have come out at 17 for minimum age...which begs the question.....why bother with International Rules at all?

            I actually quite like the idea and thinking behind MLC....
