    myself a chief mate unlimited coc , anyone knows if there is any seatime reduction of the 18 months if working as pilot /loading master or mooring master for master unlimited orals .

    As per MGN 92 I don't think you would get an exemption, and indeed you may need to check your present sea time as I don't think it would count as normal time either (check with the MCA though!)

    its unusual as most places in the world require at least Masters unlimited for Pilot / mooring master so sea time is never normally an issue.

    I'm making the assumption you did your ticket in the UK.
    Pilotage - It's just a controlled allision

      thanxs for the reply, yes I did in uk South Shields & have 42 months seatime as 3rd / 2nd off & after chief mates unlimited I have 12 months , now mca is asking me 18 months seatime for master unlimited although as watch keeping officer I have 54 months after stcw
