    Hi Sam,
I had an interview with Maersk on Tuesday. They first of all show you some videos and then show everyone a power point with some further info about the comapny and course etc. There's a 12 minute test and then individual interviews lasting about 20-30 minutes. It's quite relaxed, more of a chat really but practice a few questions before and I'm sure you'll do fine Good Luck!!

      Hi Cmairi,
I was at the interview as well on Tuesday, at 1:30, and just wondered if we bumped into each other?

Women at sea are more common than you would apparently think Fergus!

oooooh. I was going from something on either the mntb or careers at sea website, which went something along the lines of "although traditionally a male role, women are present in the industry". I took this to mean, 'yea, there are a few women at sea, they're over there...'

Back on a serious note, my interview has been rescheduled, for tomorrow! I'm particularly interested in tankers (not sure what type yet) but I can't really find any info on where Maersk's operate. What information about Maersk's specific tankers should I know about?

I know from maerskfleet.com that they have 172 vessels in the tanker category, including 37 handymax product tankers, 41 intermediate product tankers, and 2 gas carriers (+presumably 92 other ships on charter?). Will the product tankers also double up as chemical tankers?

to be fair maerskline.com is just that liner ops...boxes

as a cadets though they will try to push you around the whole fleet to give you some practice around the whole, and you get to choose later on, as for knowledge, just know the basic size differential an product differential, and that they paint them light blue :-)
