  • Time spent at sea.

    Hi all,
    Was just wondering how long would one be out at sea, without visiting home etc. for example on a cruise ship.
    Just a rough time frame would be nice. I'm assuming it'd be months right?

    Many thanks!

    This depends on ship type and route;

    Since you ask specifically about cruise ships, the average as a qualified officer will be 3-4 months... as a cadet anything between 3 - 6 months - although normally 4ish.
    ?Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn?t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.?

        But you'll be surrounded by pretty women, beautiful places and mad yanks. So you'll be fine and won't get homesick, unless your a beautician, they always get homesick.
