  • Over-Keen, Under-Informed

Hi guys, have been monitoring the website for a while and decided to officially get involved and register.

Attended the Warsash Open Day on a whim as the idea of travel for work seemed like a good trade-off.

Since applying myself to the cause originally I had been side-tracked and am now wondering if I am too late to apply for September Induction? I only wonder as there are threads already discussing who is with what comapany already.

Also, I have a distinct lack of seafaring experience other than the fact I am held hostage on the Isle of Wight and regularly cross the solent to escape. Any ideas how big an obstacle this is when applying to sponsoring companies?

    Many Thanks in Advance,

    WightRookie

Welcome along.....yes and No / non

Yes you might be a bit late for September BUT apply anyway, as there are often drop outs an changes of heart especially where people get more than one offer, also you HAVE to be in it to win it, worse case you get looked at for Jan or Next Sept.

You dont even have to be able to swim to do this job Having a bit of clue about boats will help, look out the window and see the ships going past, I have 3/e who lives on the same Island as you, he's a nutter

PLEASE use the search function before starting new threads with questions we have repeatedly answered...unless you have a different take on them

Otherwise welcome along and feel free to ask questions and we'll do what we can do to help you along

Yes I work for the big blue canoe company.
No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.

Thanks for the info. Will get on it right away so i have a chance to win it.

Certainly relishing the chance to learn as I go, but also understand that certain research prior to interviews will be needed.

Will make use of the search features in future as I highly doubt I'm a unique case in this vast industry.

      Cheers!

Turns out Bibby aren't even taking applications for September until April. So I stand a chance after all.

Is this what you said to all the ladies you've known?
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....
