    Hello and Welcome!
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

        Thanks guys,

I have put a few applications in for cadetships, however I wondered if anyone could tell me how the pay is like for Maersk cadets? I have a mortgage etc and my hubster does work full time too but obviously we would like to know what the drop in pay would be for me so we can do our budgets and see if this is actually something I can pursue. We will find a way to make it work!

Cadet pay has improved, think the going rates are between ?600-900 p/m these days (not including accomodation), excepting the likes of BP/RFA and not taking into account the generous pay from some SSTG companies with an additional accomodation allowance.

                Welcome and all that

The Maersk cadets are around somewhere, and should be able to give a more accurate indication, I recall they are different at different points, the ?600-900 range sounds right, so if you do your sums on the low end then in theory jobs a good un if you get more

I did read your intro 3 times before it clicked you where an officer for homeless people and not a homeless officer.......oh hum

Yes I work for the big blue canoe company.
No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.

less lazy sunday, more constantly checking emails for joining instructions. *checks emails again*

if your a HNC/D we started on ?666 p/m with a payrise this month to ?708 p/m with the FD's ?500 a year more but i think new people would start on ?708 p/m or more. Phoning the office in Newcastle could help as they will know the latest.
