No I haven't heard from Clyde Marine. From what I have heard I'll know who my sponsorship is when I go to college - so will have to wait until then!

I don't know if I could be doing with the uncertainty - let's just hope you get one of the decent companies!

Make sure you keep us up to date and spread the word once you start! Feel free to post any questions you might have. We've only got 70 members at the moment but they include everyone from current cadets to very experienced officers so I'm sure you'll find somebody with an answer!

I know I hate the suspense! But I'm not really bothered even though some companies have better reputations than others. I quite like the look of the Cruise Liners - so do a lot of people though.
For my top three I put:
Disney, Northern Marine and Wilhelmesen.
Yes I will do I know several people who are also starting at Glasgow in September so I'll send them the link for this forum.

Oooh wonderful, thanks for that!

Looks like some good choices, hopefully you'll get to cruise but at the end of the day it's the same qualification and as long as you get good training you can go where you want.

you should find out who you are with within a couple of weeks of starting, thats when i found out who my company was.
