hey every1

well im 20 and at the moment im living in the south of france working on some of the yachts, but wanting to work in this industry as a deck officer through the deck cadetship, i have a interview coming up with shell.

If anybody has any advice on Shell, or anybody who has already had an interview with shell already! then i would love to hear from you for words of advice!

I wish I could give you some advice on the whole thing but that would be the blind leading the blind.

Personally, I'm not going to worry about it too much. Theres an interview which only you can be ready for and a test which they say can't be revised for. So what can ya do?

Are you engine or deck?

Me too, especially the chance to go see Warsash, even though I was planning to go to the open day in January.

Its all about the engineering for me Lol.

Just so you know, I'm gonna be walking around the shell people shouting "drunken sailor???" and you're gonna have to put your hand up to shut me up lol

do you also know if shell pay for accom whilst at uni?

Well I had an RT test with the RFA but that wasn't really an interview. So I suppose yes, its my first interview for a sept 2011 start anyway. I did some interviews at the beginning of the year for sept 2010 start but I had to delay for personal reasons.....

I'm applying for the Fd and yourself?

I don't believe Shell pay for accom at college as they pay around ?11,000 starting I believe but they cover living costs on ship.

Interview done, now the anxious wait until Tuesday, eek!!

Drunkensailor, I asked about keeping my start date open with regards to Jan or Sept so you might see me in Jan if we both get offered a plae and both end up at warsash =)

You'll have to PM me and let me know how you got on on Tuesday!
