Future deck cadet currently living in Dubai UAE (although I am British)
17 and doing IB at the moment, hope to go onto cruise ships preferably with princess.
Sailing since i was 11 coming second in the UAE national champs a few years ago.

I applied for Viking, and they passed my application on to Trinity House. Carnival just never got back to me, they said they would look for my application, but I guess a lot of people want to apply for the cruise ships!

Yeah, we shall see, im hoping coming from a multicultural society and having a background of being on the ocean plus some other things will help me stand out a bit from the rest, but we shall see

Yeah, IB is said to be a better qualification, but much, much harder I reckon. Im at JESS Arabian ranches, first year the school has had a 6th form so were the 'test dummies' as such. Good to know another cadet in the British system from around here!

I think the uni thing goes for the whole of the middle east and for all private schools, they do it at JESS too, when I say I don't want to go to Uni people look at me weird. I'm looking at my first choice as Princess Cruises, then Carnival and Viking and SSTG and clyde. The Cruise industry attracts me the most, but I will be happy to go to sea with anyone really.

Hmm, I dont know if I ever want to go down that road as it strikes me as a general pain in the arse and the pay isnt that great either but if I had to then I suppose I would.
