Would you say rigger boots are better than safety shoes when on board for a deck cadet? And do you not get supplied with any when you board your ship? We got given some safety shoes by our company in college but I find them a bit clunky.

As a cruisie, I have little choice in the matter - I have black safety boots to go with my khaki working uniform and white safety shoes to go with my whites.

Rigger boots are quite comfy though, especially with the wooly lining. Almost like Ugg boots!

Stupid question but what sizes do riggers go up to? The largest ones i've seen go up to 11 but thats not any good for me.

          "My Job"

It's not my place to run the boat
the fog horn I can't blow.

It's not my place to say just where
          the boat's allowed to go

It's not my right to dock the boat
          or even clang the bell

          But let the damn thing
start to sink AND SEE WHO CATCHES HELL!

If you're engine. Think twice about the fur lined ones. Foot rot will happen in the heat.

Also, if anyone has access to makro cash and carry they sell DeWalt riggers for ?30. Thats half price off retail.

Yes I work for the big blue canoe company.
No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.
