Good day, Im Kweno from Trinidad and Tobago. I am currently in my last few months in my diploma in maritime operations Navigation Option, which is approved by the MCA in UK and STCW credentials.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for our graduates to access sea time training international in order to acquire our OOW officer licenses because of the limited vessels our school has contracts with. Im here seeking any information of shipping companies/ sponsor companies that take on board internationals for officer cadet training or any steps I can take to apply etc.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I am finishing the program in July.

Maersk Line had some Barbadian cadets on my last ship, not sure how they got the placement, but it was as a favour as they weren't "our" cadets, we where just lending a hand.
    Trust me I'm a Chief.

Yes I work for the big blue canoe company.
No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.
