Hi all,
I am a final year Geography student at the University of Exeter and am currently undertaking some research for my dissertation. The project seeks to unravel the reasons behind the supposed "invisibility" of the maritime industry. It is for this reason that I reach out to you.
I am kindly asking you to complete this short survey (10mins) so as to provide me with your perspectives/opinions on this topic. Below is the link:

I am very passionate about this project. I am a sailor myself and have had close associations with the sea from a young age. My project was inspired by crew change crisis that occurred during the pandemic. I desperately want to find out why instances like these are able to occur, despite the fact that there are seemingly so many regulations attempting to prevent issues such as these. Hopefully my project can provide an interesting perspective on these problems and will contribute to making visible an industry that is so often described as "invisible".
Research has been fruitful so far and I hope you can be a part of it.
Of course, in partaking in the questionnaire, I will abide by all the relevant ethical considerations (ensuring anonymity etc.). These will be sent to you via email once you've completed the survey.
