    Am an engine cadet from India. Finding it hard to get a ship to complete my cadet training. Need help

    Go to the manning agents in Mumbai. There are enough of them down there that you should be able to get something!
    I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

          Every officer that I've spoken to has warned me AGAINST agents of any sort, so you want to be careful. If you're going to use agents, don't use any that haven't already successfully been used by someone else before you, if you know a chap who's been sailing for a year or so and got his job through an agent, then go right ahead. Otherwise, i suggest avoiding agents without proper, reliable references.

            Some of the major companies use manning agents, they don't hire directly so go to Mumbai and go and see the likes of CF Sharp, v.ships, Bibby, ASP, etc...
