Call for more Administrators!

Anyone who has useful IT skills and thinks they might be around for a while is more than welcome to join the admin team.

Many sites go down because people go to sea for ages and there's no-one to take over from them.

The hope is that we can have a team of people to share admin duties to keep the site going - something that might suit cadets who are interested in helping with the wiki.

Moderators are perhaps more likely to be serving officers, because their knowledge and experience is valuable to all of us.

I studied computing as a degree, and have quite good knowledge in php/sql/html etc.. if any of that helps. I would also be able to help moderate the forum, but at present do not have a huge amount of knowledge RE the training as I have obviously not done it yet

Sounds great... CharlieDelta has the final say on Admins (pussers, bursars or bosuns, I dunno which!), I dunno how many he wants, but we need enough to get the site growing and alive whilst we're at sea!

It does... we need this site to look that pretty, and for it to come at the top of google searches for things like:

merchant navy cadet
merchant navy cadetship
merchant navy cadet forum
merchant navy forum
mn + above
careers at sea
life at sea
company and college and course names etc...

that sort o ting...
