Guess what?

Sorry for the cheeky title, but I hope it's caught your attention!

I'm very happy to announce that:

We have over 2,000 forum members (as of last week)!
We have 800 Facebook Likes (as of today)!
We have nearly 400 Twitter followers!

I think it's a ringing endorsement of the site and its success. Since we started just over three years ago (yes, three!) we've grown so much and become really well known, so much so that many of the sponsoring companies and colleges are really positive about our existence, and the MNTB recognise the value that the site offers.

My personal thanks to all of you for supporting us, and particularly to the site team (all working volunteers who give up their time) who do a really fantastic job of keeping the site going.

So what can we do to keep growing?

Well, please click like/follow on Facebook and Twitter if you haven't already. Each like brings us new members and helps us to spread the word. I can't emphasise enough how important this is to us.

As always, we're keen to hear your ideas. You can contact me personally by PM or email, or start a forum thread, or reply to this thread if you have any ideas regarding promotion, content, facilities and so on.

I suggest giving free beer for a year to the long standing members and mods...

[serious hat] Do we have any posters or anything up in any of the colleges? Surely we have some artsy fartsy types who can make some nice glossy posters to put up?

Also, is it worth talking to MNTB and seeing if they can place a link on their website?

Maybe try develop a bit of a closer relationship with training agencies or should we stay independent to a certain extent?

I've also noticed that we're slowly starting to go international as well!

I have a stock of 300 odd promotional cards (business card size and really nice quality). Could always try to get them in. Have got through 100 already.

The MNTB love the site but at the moment the rules don't allow them to link to us. Work in progress though.

We're reasonably friendly with the companies, always happy to talk to them, but I think independence is the best bet.

Yep, and over the next few days I'm going to be working on catering for international visitors a bit better and giving them their own space. It gets confusing otherwise!
