  • Trojan?

Is anyone else getting a trojan warning when accessing forum pages? When I go to view the thread my anti virus pops up warning me of a trojan it has blocked. I'm using Avast! and it's the same on my work PC.

    Anyone have any idea why?

I get it too, using Avast on my laptop but not on the college computers that run Microsoft forefront

Maybe it is just too sensitive as there doesn't seem to be a problem with the site.

This has been happening on and off for a while. Started up again for me about a week ago. AVG picks it up on IE8 for me, but not when I use Chrome.

We're aware of the issue but having real difficulty pinning it down. All our files and the database are clean (have done a search through the code), so I can only assume they're spurious warnings.

If you get a warning in future, could you post here or email me (see below) the following info:

          OS
          Browser
          Antivirus Software
          Page Accessed

          Thanks!

Will do. It seems to have stopped after I visited a few different pages.
            First seen on my laptop.

            Chrome
            Avast!
One of the threads, can't remember which. (Didn't show on homepage or forum home).

            Cheers

Firefox and Norton (W7 64 bit) has never given me any grief, nor did Firefox and McAfee (W7 32 bit) on my old laptop.

Sodding typical, I say that, and this happened. The picture thing clearly isn't working, so here is the info that it says:

IPS Alert name: Web attack, Malicious toolkit website 9
                Attacking computer: easy-biz.infor (178.162.181.85, 80)
                Attacking URL: easy-biz.info/dain.php?page=e0394694ed7aa099
                Soure address: 178.162.181.85

And its just happened again! Exactly the same details as above.

It happened when I opened up the RSS article on 15 foreign ships being detained in the uk.

My virus software isn't having a full hissy fit as yet, just blocking the thing it doesn't like automatically at the moment

An update on the situation, I have been browsing all the unread posts since last night and haven't come across any warnings yet so perhaps what you have done has fixed it CD?

Nah it's still flagging up virus at my work. And my mac has mysteriously downloaded itself a lovely ad malware. Something fishy is going down! Either too much officer cadet or you p*rn!!
