By strange co-incidence I was just looking for a way to contact one of the site admins!
AVG keeps throwing up a virus warning, it was doing it last night every time I tried to access my profile page, and today when I accessed one of the threads. It names the virus ass www,lephante,ch/gonzo (have replaced the dots with commas to prevent autolinking to a malware site). If you PM me an e-mail address i can send you a screenshot of the AVG warning thingy.Go out, do stuff

What would help is if we could know if people with macs are experiencing this problem or if it's just PC's
As well as posting in this forum users can also use the 'contact us' button at the bottom to raise problems.

running firefox 8.0.1, noscript (addon) and addblock+(addon) avg as quite as a mouse........
if people want to try that and see if it help......
in noscript there is an allow/forbid section.......
allow officercadet.com but DO NOT allow an entry called....lephante,ch
seems there is a script hiding somewhere or being injected and all should be well again till the software team can pin it downTrust me I'm a Chief.

No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.

In addition to what Cheify has just said, all members should try updating the browser plugins (e.g. Flash player, java, adobe reader etc).
By ensuring you have the latest update to these programs, they will have the latest security patches in place

Im getting it all the time on both my desktop and laptop. Both use mozilla browsers except my Desktop is using the experimental Aurora browser from Firefox, thats protected by AVG and anti-malware software the alert I get is for the same redirect site that the others have reported stating its a malicious rootkit. (My laptop is using the latest Firefox browser).
On my laptop which is running latest Norton AV everytime I visit the site i get an alert sayings its blocked attacks from "Malicious toolkit Website 9" which when i looked it up is a package of various malware programs desgined to be downloaded to a victims PC through the web browser indicating that there is a script somewhere trying to trigger this but luckily it seems the majority of folks on here are savvy enough to keep the AV up!
When i looked at the security report from norton it gives the originating IP of the attack including a URL which if you look at mine attached shows its a "news source" ive looked into this and thats appeared with a different name and IP each time in other people who have had an attack so it could be that infected PCs or servers dont actually know theres a problem. Ive redacted my IP and laptop name from the report but everything else is as it was. Norton report.jpg
Also found this http://community.norton.com/t5/Norto...-9/td-p/614102 and this http://www.symantec.com/security_res...jsp?asid=24089 reporting the attacks from the website toolkit 9
Not sure if im telling you what you already know guys but hopefully some of it will be of use!I wanted to put something profound here...... But then I took an arrow to the knee.

RSS still not working... I guess you are aware!?Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn?t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.?
