Random Site Stats Thread!

Been a while since we had one of these, so thought I'd share some interesting stats!

Yesterday, we passed the 20,000 post milestone, and we're coming up to 2,000 individual threads. We have just a smidgen over 800 members.

It's interesting to see how many people read the site but don't register or post. July saw over 3,600 unique visitors who made a total of 12,000 visits and viewed a total of 99,000 pages.

52% came from search engines, showing the massive reach of the site. Many of our visitors, of course, are not cadets or connected to the industry - if all 3,600 were cadets then pretty much every cadet in the country (and then some?) will have visited over the month, and I don't think our reach extends that far yet!

Google search keywords include the following amusing searches:

• Croatian Sailor Forum (Eh... not quite!)
• Ship Porn (Yeah, we have quite a bit...)
• Danish Porn (Think these guys might have been a bit disappointed...)
• Breakfast at Warsash Maritime Academy (Emm... well there's bacon, eggs, cereal etc...)
• Shipping Porn (Hmmm...)
• Porn in Antartica (I sense a theme!)
• Naked ENG1 (Well, whatever floats your boat...)
• Cadet lower than shark s*** (Why would someone actually search for this?)
• Ladies Boys (I'm confused...)

Visitors spend an average of 9 minutes on the site, viewing 8 pages on each visit.

The Current Cadets forum was the most viewed, and How long you gonna do it for? was the most viewed thread.

Right, which one of you lot has been looking for ladies boys or a naked ENG 1? Come on, fess up!

It not so much that people here are searching for it but that google think this is a good place to get if if you want some, so generally that means the phases like lady boys have been cropping up on this site more than others and each time someone mentions lady boys it moves up the ranking of possible interest to people who are searching for lady boys. the only real way to reduce this is to not mention lady boys as much on the site in general day to day posts about being a MN cadet although i will say this is the first thread in which ive ever seen lady boys even mentioned, so maybe that person just got a lucky hit

Can anyone give me a proper explanation of the concept of lady boys, since you never or barely hear lady boys being mentioned or explained anywhere, and generally people do not know what lady boys are. Also I would welcome and increased usage of the term lady boys so that any individual who does not know what lady boys are, is swiftly introduced to the idea of lady boys.

iv no idea what a "lady boy" is. when i hear lady boy i always think of the Lady boys of bangkok. but iv never seen that and know nothing about it. so i too would like to know what a lady boy is. Cause not knowing what a lady boy is is a severe dissadvantage in this industry.
