Some of the bars are pretty purple. I like the idea of a non-white background, but maybe not so much of a blue overload

Oooh, ok, this one looks a bit better. Bit of a change. Still not 100% though.

Hmm, actually this one isn't growing on me either, bit sore on the eyes. Think we need to keep the "inner" background white but can play around with the "outer" background if that makes sense!

Need to balance to contraast of some of the text to the back ground better, ie quick navigation, view first unread, and some of the buttons fail with the lighting effect too

Ok, gonna revert to the old style for a bit, this is gonna take a re-think

Other option is to look for suitable skins online, but I haven't had much luck finding anything decent.

Tis better,not sure if you need the dark blue back ground aroundt he pale blue one it seems to give a slightly random frame, but the level of contrast with pale blue, grey and white is easier on the eyes
