Best deep sea companies to go for after gaining COC?

Simple question, really; though I'm going to apply to as many as possible, which would people who've been with them say are the best of the deep sea shipping companies (containers, bulk, general cargo, etc. Preferably not tankers.) to work for as a newly qualified J/E, 5/E or 4/E, in terms of pay and working culture one might expect to find on board (that is, professionalism, everyone's not always drunk, good engine room practice e.g. little repairs don't get left to turn into big ones & the workshop doesn't look like a bombsite, safety culture and proper drills, etc)? Also a factor for me, which ones have armed guards for piracy risk areas?
