As with the others I doubt it's what you've came up with due to fact you'd probably be dead years ago and one would of assumed it would of shown up on your medical or at least aero used suspicions. But I'm not a doctor.

Go see your doctor as hopefully you've already arranged.

The joys of the internet and the wealth of medical knowledge available online has major downsides in that googling simple symptoms returns random horrible diseases which majority of us immediately assume we have.

I particularly like "sneezing and headache" which comes up with amongst other things Plague, West Nile Virus & Stroke :-)

5/6 years with a pnuemothorax? Wouldn't you be dead?

Maybe you have Ebola? Similar symptoms...

Don't sit on google and self-diagnose! Go to the Dr and tell
him/her the symptoms keeping an open mind so you don't try an convince the Doc that you've got a pneumothorax. Self diagnosing will only ever lead to you convincing yourself you have a terrible illness (pneumothorax is a medical emergency and you've had symptoms for 5-6 years?) - step away from the PC, you're just worrying yourself.

Chances are it's fine, if you had a Pneumothorax you'd know about it. Everything seems worse when you self diagnose.

But if it's causing you concern (since you posted about it, apparently it is) then go and see a doctor!!

As H says, none of us will know! We're not doctors

    1) Go see a doctor.

    2) Go see a doctor.

    3) Go see a doctor.

    4) Doubtful it is what you think. Years ago I had a similar problem when I was in my early 20's. Turned out I was pinching a nerve in my back. The nerve ending was in the front of my chest so it appeared the pain was in the front of my chest. A quick visit to an Osteopath and it was sorted.

    5) The lesson here is "NOBODY here will know" - so......

    6) Go see a doctor!

    Medical Question

I am current deck cadet -finished my final sea phase.

However, over the past 5 - 6 years I have had a minor sharp stabbing pain in my chest. It just popped up again randomly.

I understand that NO one on this site can provide medical advice/decisions yada yada, but I havent found it to be a problem.

The symptoms say its Pneumothorax - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumothorax

As to what type, I would imagine that it is primary.

I will see the doctor and see what it is. I want to ask if anyone else has heard about this possible "medical issue"?
