Any honest opinions of Anglo Eastern as a company? Confused been told by a friend of mine that they wasted his whole cadetship and promised him a job offer at the end which he never got. Honestly don't know what to do been offered an interview. Also do they do the hnd? Because I don't have relevant qualifications for anything higher. Thanks x

well it would seem they do HND if they've offered you an interview. As far as I know they're not a bad company to work for. Their cadets in my year seem happy enough. Go to the interview, try and get the job, and if you're offered a place then you've got one in the bag. You can always reject the offer if you get what you think to be a better one

I'm with AE and haven't been promised any job at the end. Much like other training companies. They pay your rent for you and give you a living allowance which is very generous! They keep an eye on their cadets and support them quite well. It's an interview and it's worth going for it!

Personal speaking I couldn't say a bad work about them. I have found then to be very approachable and reply straight away to any emails or calls. I'm starting a FD engine with them at Warsash on the 27th and can't wait! I have been guaranteed a job with them once I've finished the Cadetship and also the package they offer is really generous. I'd highly recommend you go for the interview mate!

What company they given you Wishy? I remember them saying they are only taking on about 7 engine cadets for 2 different companies in my interview

I'm starting in 2 weeks at Fleetwood, we might be paired together in August sailing around the far east, apparently one of the best runs to be on according to David!

I went through my cadet ship with Anglo Eastern and Rio Tinto and worked with Rio for around a year after my cadet ship, if either of you have any questions about either company's please feel free to private message me. However I can say that David is an absolutely brilliant training officer and will always fight your corner with the colleges.
