Work Based Learning Tragedy?

So for phase 2 FD deckies at my college are assigned 'Work Based Learning' tasks, basically four essays to do with information you gather onboard your ship. I gathered the info I needed, or at least I thought I did, as did the officers onboard who agreed to help me gather what I needed did. Turns out theres info I don't have, including details of certain lighthouses etc. Long story short, I can't do some of the questions I have been set, is this a serious issue? Or would it be ok if I explain my situation to the person marking it?

Explain the issue to the people marking it, from what I hear it's rather relaxed What details do you need for lighthouses? You might be able to find it in the admiralty list of lights?

I agree with Martyboy. Be up front with your tutor and explain what happened. They will have heard it all before and will generally do their best to help. Don't just ignore it as it won't go away. The standards are not superhuman so I am sure you will get through. Good luck!
