Drugs Testing

Hi,

I'm an ex-weed smoker, starting an Engineering HND next month. I would just like to know if people get randomly tested from the first day of the course or if there's a period at the start before that sort of thing starts happening. Following on from that, do the testers give you advanced warning, or do they just turn up on the day and find you?

(P.S. I'm not some lunatic junkie, I just happen to have until recently enjoyed the occasional spliff. I'm probably worried about nothing as I've already quit and I was hardly a heavy user. I've seen a few sanctimonious people wading into previous drug topics on here, so please spare me that!)

It can be from the first day and no you don't normally get notified in advance - usually you will be advised in the morning 1-2 hours before it is scheduled to occur.

I've seen a few sanctimonious people wading into previous drug topics on here, so please spare me that!)
