Right guys, 3 offers on the table for a deckie cadetship, Shell, maersk and seacor. I know a fair bit about each company (sectors they work in, ships I'll be on) but there's only so much I can research. Which would you choose and why? Thanks in advance!

Shell. Getting your tanker fam + endorsements in now is a good idea as they will be more difficult to get once qualified. Also I would imagine there will be a good chance of a job at the end and they probably pay well. I don't think they take on a massive amount of cadets so you are probably quite lucky to get an offer.

Shell, all the way.
I always advise cadets to get on wet cargo vessels, LNG if you can, cause it makes it easier to get on them once you're done...I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

Yup...tankers are handy BUT it is "possible" the cruise companies might not like you if you have been on them too long...as you wont be house trainedbut to be honest depending on the sort of person you are that isnt a real problem

Yes I work for the big blue canoe company.
No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.
