Personally i find the arguement of 'oh you wont be able to do it at sea' pretty crap, yes i wont be able to do it at sea but if i cant do it at college either then that means im not doing it at all for 3 years (or only for the little time not on ship or college) personally i think the college time should consider that if you can enjoy your weekends etc then it doesnt seem so bad, ive seen lots of cadets sitting around all weekend with little to do it then seems that only getting 2 weeks off between ship is far to little and makes the whole cadetship harder.
they cant simulate the post cadetship t&c's as the thing would take forever if we all got 2 months off after every 3 months in college or sea but thats the difference
