If I graduate this course, can I use it to become an officer in the Royal Navy, or will I have to go through the same officer training as everyone else in the Royal Navy?

You go to the factory with all the other erks; it would make very little difference I think.'... English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't
just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages
down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for
new vocabulary.' - James Davis Nicoll

The only real advantage is if you were looking to join the RNR after you qualify, you can go in as an officer rather than a rating. You still have to get through the AIB and I believe you have to do some time at BRNC. The RNR use MN qualified deck officers as liaisons on merchant ships chartered for military use and in amphibious warfare.sigpicHello! I'm Chris. I think the military have ways of getting around it, just like churches can get away with discriminating over this and that.sigpicHello! I'm Chris.
