Re: Ships and Stuff
Yup be prepared for the classic interview type questions like what are you strenghts and weaknesses? and what do you think makes a good team member? Also have a good think about
Why do you want to join the MN?
and
How will you cope with being away for X months at a time?
You are likely to be asked both of these.
Glad I didnt apply this year it does sound alot more tricky than when I applied.

I know the basics about ships but there is a wide verity, is the basics enough I have about a page on each type of Ships from Oil tankers to Cargo and Offshore vessels. With all the different types of ships and such, I have the average weight, how they are constructed alittle of the history their operations.. I know quite abit, I was just wondering what ELSE I should know, im sorry to put it across like I know nothing...

Depends who you have applied to......go to their web sites and rummage around.

Re: Ships and Stuff
You should have really known the ships before you applied. At the end of the day, thats what you will working on?
As *user* mentioned, if you are applying with CMT, they send you out a booklet with all the Ship types, crewing numbers etc.
I'm not 100% sure on what other recruiters or companies do.
My only advice would be to study your arse off as the competition is tough and this year alone, there have been lots of applications, so you need to know your stuff.
