  • Inhalers & ENG1 for an adult?

    Hi All,

I'm going to be having my first ENG1 medical on Monday. As a child I did take an inhaler intermittently, but never had an asthma attack, didn't need to visit hospital etc. It's also now been at least 5-6 years since the last time I used an inhaler, and I have had no issues at all.

Any experience with when a restricted certificate may be issued, or am I overthinking this one? I've had a look at the MCA guide already, but it doesn't really seem to offer an answer as it looks more at current asthma sufferers.

You should probably be fine, just be honest about it - it may simply be a case that they suggest you take inhalers with you just in case.

You're gonna be fine I'm asthmatic to a similar level to yourself and I passed no problem. The big one they look out for is taking steroids for asthma not inhalers.
