I've run into a bump on the road on my application for the MN. I requested a MSF4100 Seafarer Vision Test Certificate, however on inspection it's made solely for Deck or Dual-career personnel, not Engineering personnel. For example, it has a page for the lanten test results, but not the D15 or City tests. The visual acuity is at 6/6 and 6/12, not the 6/18 of Engineers. Is there a form for Engineers that I can request?

    Thanks

    Re: MSF 4100

I'm not quite sure why you need this form. The vision test is usually part of the ENG1 medical and the doctor will have all the relevant forms.

If you're wondering if you have 6/18 visual accuity, you can just ask a friendly optician if you can look at their wall chart called a Schneller chart.

6/6 is the same as 20/20 so 6/12 must be 20/40 and 6/18 must be 20/60 which is size 60 typeface at 20 feet
