You can't have both restrictions. I've had lantern, failed that but because im going for engine, i dont get those restrictions. colour cables are standard. But like i say, everythings changing soon. And yes, its a chart for your eyesight.

Re: D15 and City University Colour Tests
actually failing the 1st one gives u both no look out and no coloured cable work
passing the 2nd one removes ur cable restrictions i fought with it for months
failing the 2nd one means you keep both restrictions like i have

Yes, you do get a choice. but not every facility has them both. City is the book, 15 is the lining up. both pretty much the same thing. YOU may get a choice, but i doubt it. Don't worry over it though

Thanks guys, I think I understand what's involved now.
So which test would you recommend taking, the City r D15 test? You get a choice if you fail the Ishihara between the two, right?

Actually, youl get a restriction, because you failed ishihara, so no coloured cables. then failing the city test means more restrictions. but as an engineer, usually doesn't matter. Everythings changing in a few years anyway. As long as you have eyes you should be fine for engineering.

Re: D15 and City University Colour Tests
One has 5 dots one in the middle then 4 around it u select which dot matchs the centre dot the best
you have a row of colours you line them up fading from one colour to the next there is a certain order you get 2 shots at each

D15 and City University Colour Tests
Hi, I was wondering if any engineers who have taken either the D15 or City University Colour tests could explain to me what's involved in the tests. I've found online versions of the tests but I don't know if these are the same as the ones that are done for the ENG1 medical.
