and i would guess if its food related then the ship would need to know so you arent given anything in your food that you would take a reaction to

Some might, but not the one you mention, on joining some one will ask if you have any allergies and these will be written down and kept in a safe place in case needed (ie you get sick or injured)

I've looked at the MCA medical standards for a Merchant Seaman and I couldnt find any info on allergies.

What sort of allergies, if any, would block you from entry? Would a morphine allergy stop you joining? Anything you know on the subject would be brilliant, thank you.
