  • Colour deficiency

I've just read that if you get approved under a colour deficient restricted ENG1 that you won't be retested as they consider you to be "blind for life" and that if you fail the colour test once, you'll fail it every time.

If you pass the colour test with no issues, are you retested on renewal or do they have the same view that if you pass the colour test once, you'll pass it every time?

    thanks

I have been tested each time.

      Thanks alistair.

Another question, if someone were to fail the ishihara plates but pass the second test (D15 or City) with no faults, would it be unrestricted? If so, what's the point in the Ishihara if it can be wrong?

        Re: Colour deficiency

it would be unrestricted as the ishihara is very crude and just tests for any sort of fault the other test are more refined to test for the actual colour you struggle with
