Do you need to be a strong swimmer to pass the PST course or is it pretty much a case of flapping around in the water with a life jacket on?

Re: PST
I just did my PST course yesterday. I'm a decent swimmer, not afraid of water or heights, but I have a bit of a thing about jumping into water from a height. It was a bit daunting but apart from the jumping everything's fine. You have a lifejacket on the whole time - the course is even suitable for non-swimmers. A bit of physical strength is needed to right a capsized liferaft and board it, but that's about it.sigpicHello! I'm Chris. I'm away a lot so I'm sorry if it takes me a while to reply to messages, but I promise I'll get back to everyone. If it's urgent, please email me directly at [email protected].
