    I wouldn't like to be going into foreign ports and trying to give the name in phonetics.
    looks like one of the vessel's submersible craft is to be named 'Boaty' as a tongue-in-cheek reminder. A good point about the phonetics but I'm a little upset that I'll never know the experience of following her into a reporting area and hearing 'that' name coming over the VHF!

      I see that the submersible is yellow so Boaty is a yellow submarine

        Shouldn't it be called "submariney Mc'Submarineface" then? Or just "subby mc'subface" for short?
