Drugs and drug related paraphernalia have been found in the cabin of the dead contractors.

An investigation into the deaths of two American security contractors by the Seychelles Police has confirmed the presence of drugs and paraphernalia in the cabin where the bodies of the two men were found on Tuesday.

The comments on the gCaptain story are fantastic, there are some very well informed intelligent people who comment on gCaptain, but there are an amazing amount of idiots on there as well.
        Go out, do stuff

I thought the comments were reading a bit like the daily mail in parts...

The Gcaptain comments section really does bring out the inner moron in people...

As do any comments page on a news website.

I must admit, I am quite partial to reading the comments section of the Daily Wail. Nothing like a good bit of moronic frothing outrage coupled with large amounts of tin foil headwear....

I've personally had some bad experiences with security contractors and would genuinely prefer to sail without them and use alternative precautions if on board a commercial vessel. Very sad if drugs has been involved, and a big embarrassment for Maersk.

Yeah, there really are some mickey mouse outfits out there, but there are also a lot of very very good outfits out there too.

It's all down to vetting really, but I know this incident has put the sh*ts up the PMC industry....

The whole anti-piracy thing is a bit of a con if you ask me, you should see how much these cowboys charge - I was in Dubai a couple of years ago and even back then people were saying that some of the security companies were involved in piracy in order to keep the business model going...
