From the angle in the picture it looks a lot like the Spinnaker Tower. The article makes no mention of a maritime crew but given that it is referred to as a vessel I assume there would be a need for one and I can't say that the idea of 'driving a laboratory' doesn't appeal to me. Sounds like a fantastic place to work!
