    Better than being stuck in 12th place and being delayed when 3 of the container ships ahead of you managed to run aground!

    It's not surprise that the Suez is a target, and the Egyptians have various procedures in place including the military presence all the way along the canal banks and the helicopter gunships which patrol continuously. I also believe that they close the bridges on occasions whilst ships are passing underneath.
    I think if we do a transit anytime soon, we'll be questioning whether we should take our normal position in the convoy (places 1 and 2).

    Very concerning, but the military seem to be on the case, so guess it's pirate stations whilst going through Suez from now on....
