Marine Risk Management SA (that's the outfit I founded in 1986 - see www.marinerisk.com), together with Evolutionary Security Inc. (www.evolutionarysecurity.ca) and Red Cell (www.tridentoperations.com) are launching the world's first ever Professional Maritime Security Association.
Appropriately named the International Association of Maritime Security Professionals, but more readily referred to as MarSecPro, we'd like to encourage all those of you embarking on a seagoing career to take a keen interest in this vital subject.
For too long the MarSec industry has been unregulated and is in a state of dangerous chaos with few maritime professionals. It is our aim to establish strict guidelines, a robust Code of Conduct and a Professional Forum supported by a strong Constitution.
