such a sad story. it makes me think twice long and hard when i hear stories like this.
what would of happened if the crew refused to go out on deck in bad weather? when it comes to myself going to sea i know I'd rather get a bollocking then risk going out in severe weather.Comment

The accident report will detail when its published... but most likely something was loose and needed securing before it damaged the ship, or a hatch / ventilation dampener was open allowing water to enter the ship.Originally posted by CharlieDelta View Post

I think it's always up to the individual crew member to decide whether they do it or not. But, i guess that sums up seafarers. If it needs doing...not the first or last time this will happen but its always sad.Comment
