I think its a terrible idea. Jersey has shown itself to be an irresponsible financial regulator enabling the banks to lend too much money ending in the credit crunch, I can't them taking their flag state responsibilites any more seriously.
I don't think we need another flag of convenience especially when the flag looks very similar to the more reputable UK one.Former TH cadet with experience of cruise ships, buoy tenders, research ships and oil tankers

well the speical purpose vehicles that were used to securitise mortgage debt which could then be sold to investors and give the banks more money to lend were all based in offshore locations, jersey and guernsey were the worst offenders for european banks, isle of man and gibraltar not so much.Former TH cadet with experience of cruise ships, buoy tenders, research ships and oil tankers
