Ex-Swedish, so probably these, but they're titchy, will roll their guts out in the gulf of Aden rendering the skeleton crew(they'll need a third of the crew to man a RHIB!) hors de combat avec mal de mer, and require bunkering every 5 minutes. Much better with some Spica or Hugin class patrol boats with a decent size of popgun on the front to give the fuzzywuzzys something to chew on. They don't like it up 'em! etc.

More practically, you could use something like a giant standby vessel, with a helipad and armed copper to go after the pirates in smallcraft and some daughter craft to arrest them with if they bottle it when the chopper shows up.

This sort of thing is nothing unusual. Most of the larger PMC's that offer security guards also offer "private security" boats as an option for those ships whose flag states do not allow the passage and carrying of armed personnel.

        Good idea, but rather expensive.
